This double conspiracy of adults against an innocent child and a helpless wild duck goes on for one hour and 20 minutes. 14-year-old Hedvig (played brilliantly by Maresi Riegner) passes through Ibsen’s house of the lies of life. A play for steps and an ensemble, just like a miracle dream.
Der Standard
Even the most rigid, cynical theatre critic is sometimes unclear why they like a play so much that they are not able to write any critical observations or objections about it.
An excellent acting ensemble transforms the magnificent performance of “The Wild Duck” into an invaluable theatrical experience.
