Directed by young David Doiashvili, Macbeth from Georgia continues the tradition of the International Small Scene Festival to reveal young directors still unknown to larger European audience, but soon to become renowned names on world stages. The spectacular staging of Shakespeare’s tragedy with modern means and dynamic directing imposes itself as a new reading of the well-known classic. The witches' wheel dancing is here a macabre, as well as a cabaret-like frame to the familiar tragedy. Or so we thought until this production.

All those who have seen the Scottish drama were rewarded by a spectacular production with the most imaginative use of lights and sound... of stunts, video-projections and fireworks.....
